Born on 25th June, 1966, she attended Primary School, Ikot Ibiok, in Eket Local Government Area which she completed in1 975. She had her secondary education at Government Secondary, Afaha Eket, and completed it in 1980.
By 1987, she had completed the Bible and Missionary Theological College, Ikot Abasi, where she bagged a Diploma in Theology.
She later attended the University of Uyo and obtained B.Sc degree in Accounting in 1995 and by 2003 had completed an MBA in Accounting at Imo State University, Owerri.
She had worked variously as a teacher at Billson Secondary School, Eket; Accountant, Sub Treasury, Ministry of Finance, Akwa Ibom State; Safety Coordinator, Field Aviation Services, QIT, Ibeno. She had also served as a director in Quincy Kings Resources Ltd, Eket, and Imefaith Household Wares, Eket.
Her hobbies include singing, counseling, and reading. She is happily married to Hon. Barr. Ime Ekpoattai and the marriage is blessed with children.
