Social cohesion is one of those values all decent being can sign up to; less conflict
and less of the inequality that we have to put up with. That exactly informed the
need for the renovation of the existing, and construction of new civic centers in
the local governments of Akwa Ibom state by the state government.
The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Chief Godswill Akpabio had preached love; unity;
and oneness which he said will foster peace and speedy development in the state.
In his vision, he saw that civic center’s stand as means of bringing cohesion to
the state and driving to extinction
ethnic enmity among the people, so he embarked
on massive reconstruction of dilapidated civic centers in order to bring to reality
the vision of peace and substantial development in Akwa Ibom state.
In this age of paparazzi, the civic centers are good revenue generating facilities
for the local governments and no local government wants to be left out. |
