Akwa Ibom State Governor, His Excellency Chief Godswill Akpabio, has sent the names of 16 persons to the state House of Assembly for scrutiny for the post of Commissioners and Special Advisers. This the governor is carrying out in his bid to put the state in order and replace the dissolved EXCO.

The said 16 persons are members of the recently dissolved EXCO who have in one way or the other impressed the governor by being diligent in performance of their duties during their stay in office as Commissioners or Special Advisers.

The nominees include Mr. Don Etim, Barrister Ekpenyong Ntekim, Pastor Oyong Asuquo, Mr. Bassey Albert Akpan, Mr. Aniekan Umana, Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem, Mrs. Eunice S. Thomas, Dr. Bassey Antai, Mr. Paul Ekpo. Others according to report are Obong Eno S. Akpan, Mr. Sonni Anyang, Engr. Etido Inyang, Mr. Godwin Udom, Barr. Jerry Akpan, Barr. Austin Mbeh and Dr. Nseabasi Akpan.

In the same vein, it is gathered that the governor has approved the appointment of 53 Special Assistants (SAs) and Personal Assistants (PAs) in order to enable him take off smoothly in the state. Names of the appointees are Inyang Unya, Oliver Udokpo, Mercy Eka, Uduak Udoudo, Ifiok Nyong, Lydia Udo, Emmanuel Ekwere, Usoro Usoro, Prince Ukpong Akpabio, Emmanuel Ekpenyong, Emmanuel Inyang Etor amongst others. Information reaching newsmen also has it that Pastor Anietie Ukpe is to take over as the Chief Press Secretary to the governor.
