Info Boss Lauds Departing NTA Manager

The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information and Social Re-orientation, Mr. Aniekan Umanah has lauded the sterling leadership qualities of the out-going General Manager of NTA 12 Uyo, Mr. Niyi Oyeleye.

He said Mr. Oyeleye’s qualities of hard work, creativity and humility has greatly positioned the television station as a dependable broadcast outfit in the country.

The Commissioner disclosed this during a valedictory visit on him recently by the out-going General Manager, Mr. Niyi Oyeleye.

Mr. Umanah expressed gratitude to the station for the support given to the administration of Governor Godswill Akpabio observing that it has been of immense benefit to the government and people of the state. He recounted that during his tenure, Governor Akpabio constructed all the internal roads within the station and also supported the station to grow.

The information boss noted that as the largest television network in Africa, the NTA was invaluable to the growth and development of the country and relished the smooth working and cordial relationship with Mr. Oyeleye, describing his elevation to the position of a Director, as an attestation of his sterling qualities.
Commissioner Umanah on behalf of the state government and his Ministry congratulated Mr. Oyeleye for his good works and wished him well in his higher responsibilities.

He advised the new acting General Manager, Chief Eric Ahunaya to consolidate on the achievements recorded by the departing Mr. Oyeleye to enable the station grow from strength to strength.

Earlier, Mr. Niyi Oyeleye had expressed appreciation to the Commissioner for all the support by the state government given to the station during his tenure and requested that same be extended to his successor.

He assured the Commissioner that the station will not relent in its bids and will continue to work in harmony with the State Government.

Mr. Oyeleye noted that the station has improved significantly in the quality of broadcast materials in his tenure, adding that he believes in the ability of the acting General, Chief Eric Ahunaya to carry on.

Also speaking, Chief Eric Ahunaya the new acting General Manager appreciated the Commissioner for the farewell gifts and souvenir presented to Mr. Oyeleye and pledged to build on the legacy left behind by him. Also present at the occasion were various Directors in the ministry.
