PDP Inaugurates Abak Chapter Executive

Abak Local Government Chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been inaugurated, with Obong Udobong Mbeye as Chairman.
Performing the inauguration, the State Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, Prince Uwem Ita Etuk implored all party faithfuls to rise in unity to ensure the continuity of Governor Godswill Akpabio in office till 2015.
The PDP boss noted that the executive committee was put in place to ensure effective mobilization and campaign for the success of the party at the polls.
He further said that the party shall abide by the zoning arrangement of political positions as agreed by the chapter executive for the sake of peace and equity.
While cautioning aspirants on the usage of the Governor’s photograph in projecting their aspirations, he said that the party will avoid conflict in the nomination of aspirants.
The Chairman, Abak Local Government Area, Atuekong Aniediabasi Udo assured the party of total support by the people for Governor Akpabio’s re-election come 2011.
He declared his determination to work for the actualization of Chief Akpabio’s continuity in office till 2015.
Addressing the occasion, the Commissioner for Information and Social Re-orientation, Mr. Aniekan Umanah expressed appreciation for his nomination as member of the Chapter Executive.
He assured the party of the people’s support for Governor Akpabio, noting that his remarkable achievements and good governance have endeared him to the people.
The Chapter Chairman, Obong Udobong Mbeye thanked the State Officers of the party for the inauguration and pledged the commitment of the chapter for the re-election of Governor Akpabio.
Present during the inauguration were, Bishop Samuel Akpan, PDP State Deputy Chairman and International Coordinator of Akwa Ibom Peoples Forum (AKPF), Mr. Imoh Ibokette, the Senatorial Chairman of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District of the party; Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem, Commissioner for Housing and Urban Renewal, Prince Paul Udoekong, South-South Zonal Officer, Mrs. Elizabeth Essien, Women Leader, Otuekong Emmanuel Okon, Youth leader, Obong Patrick Udomfang, Director legal services at the PDP headquarters, Engr. Billy Etuk, Uyo Senatorial District Chairman among others.
