The monumental achievements of Chief Godswill Akpabio in areas of infrastructure and human development have been highly commended by socio-political group known as Ikono Grassroot Vanguard.

Handling down the commendation during a courtesy call on the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Renewal, Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem, the Secretary, Dr. Anthony Usoro, in the group’s address expressed appreciation to the Governor for his tremendous contributions in the development of the state and declared support for the second term bid of the Governor come 2011.

The group also thanked the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Renewal, for his support during its unity football competition in which the commissioner added credibility to event by being physically present.

They requested for assistance in the areas of transportation and other logistics to enhance their campaigns and wished him success in his future endeavours.

Responding, Commissioner Emmanuel Enoidem assured the group of his willingness to work with them so long as they continue to stand for development, empowerment and unity not only in Ikono but Akwa Ibom State as a whole.

He urged the group to continue to support the Government of Chief Godswill Akpabio so that the level of development continues by voting him into office come 2011. He promised to assist them and wished them success.
